 😉👍
RSVP as soon as possible to reserve your spot so we can plan dinner etc..
When I get your RSVP I will reply by sending you our “New Homeschoolers Packet” full of everything from High School Transcript templates to a playdough recipe and everything in between

ALSO:
Please let us know as soon as you can if you change your mind and cannot attend so we don’t wait for you.

Lunch will be provided.
Lunch is important because I can get to know my homeschool families and hear about any specific needs they might have so I can help and support them better.

PLEASE DON’T BE LATE.   It makes it very difficult to build on a premise when you miss the beginning statements. It also interrupts the class, makes it longer and I keep having to go back to explain what I have already told the others who were there on time.

PLEASE DON’T STAND US UP.

Let your “yes” be “yes” and your “no” be “no”.

Homeschool 101 is designed to teach parents the basics of homeschooling and much more. It is chock full of tips and tricks, and ways of teaching that most of us don’t think of due to our Public school upbringing.  Our goals and methods are not those of the public school. I try to “just tell you” what it normally takes about 5 years to figure out on your own as well as what I have learned in my 30 years of homeschooling (20 of homeschool support).

We discuss everything from early childhood learning (brain development), curriculum (what to look for), learning styles, teaching styles, what to say when people give you a hard time, how can dad help, what dads tend to do that really doesn’t help, how much time needed, what you need to teach, homeschooling methods, priorities and things we have been led to believe is a priority that are not and What about socialization? Plus much more…

While the class helps new homeschoolers to get started, it is also very helpful to those who have been schooling for a while, or anyone struggling. Some people say they need to take it over again every year just to refocus and be encouraged.

All our classes are free – but we exist on God’s provision so any donations will be gratefully accepted… It helps us to continue to help you and keep it free so everyone can participate.
